It brought the Console Live Streaming feature to Xbox Insiders on the Alpha Skip-Ahead ring last month. Meanwhile, Microsoft is currently testing an option that makes Twitch streaming easier on Xbox consoles. However, it could help Twitch streamers who don't have a capture card or capable PC to make their broadcasts stand out from the pack. We installed the brand new Twitch Studio, Twitchs in house streaming software designed to ease in new streamers who are afraid of the technical aspects of S. Streamlabs Studio isn't free - it costs $5/month or $50/year. Streamlabs Studio can also capture audio from a headset plugged into a controller or video from a webcam that's connected to an Xbox and include those feeds in broadcasts. What's more, you can use your smartphone or tablet as a webcam and layer that into your stream. The site works on mobile and tablets, so you don't even need a PC to personalize your stream or switch between preset scenes. Xbox owners can now select "Streamlabs" as a destination in the Twitch app and log into the Streamlabs Studio website to customize their stream. Personally I feel it's better to just dive into the more 'complicated' one, learn it early, and then it's already there and waiting when you find out you need the extra options.Typically, Twitch streamers who broadcast their console gameplay have had to run the video through a PC with the help of a capture card if they want to add bells and whistles like onscreen donation alerts or custom layouts. Many people who start off on TS or SLOBS end up switching to OBS at some point when they outgrow the limitations. (the streamelements version just integrates twitch chat and overlay editing easily into OBS which is convenient if you use SE for your alerts). Regular OBS Studio doesn't have a lot of fancy stuff built in, and has a steeper learning curve, but there are tons of amazing plugins you can install yourself, it's more customizable, and provides way more flexibility in how you manage your stream. It has a lot of options that are nearly 1 click install for your stream, but the ease of use also means it limits a lot of functionality and potential. It's a little more complicated than TS, but not much. Streamlabs OBS is basically an older version of vanilla OBS that Streamlabs modified to integrate a bunch of plugins within it. It's easy, but very limited in what it can do. Twitch Studio is the most basic, anyone can do it option. Regular OBS is the way to go (or with the Streamelements plugin).
